An almost five-decade history of success

Founded as a foreign language service in 1962, Intertext has mainly offered translation and interpreting services ever since. Our customers include businesses, public and other institutions as well as private individuals. While our work for the business community focuses on mechanical engineering, car-making, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, printing and software engineering, we also cater for the needs of other industries, commerce and the service sector. Public sector clients include national institutions such as federal and regional authorities, law-courts and police headquarters, but also international institutions, most of them European. Our principal service for private customers is to provide translations of official documents that are carried out by sworn translators.

In recent years we have almost continually chalked up an annual turnover of € 7–8 million. We employ a permanent staff of 80 at eight locations (Berlin, Rostock, Dresden, Leipzig, Chemnitz, Magdeburg, Halle, Erfurt) and about 800 freelance professionals.
